Tracing Lost Pensions

If you’ve worked for several companies over the years and taken part in their pension schemes, chances are that you’ve forgotten about a pension or lost some details along the way.

Did you know that the Pension Service (part of the Department for Work and Pensions), has a Pension Tracing Service? If you supply them with your personal details, plus information on the companies you worked for, (address, dates that you worked for them etc.), plus details of the pension scheme, they will trace the pensions for you, for free!

I’ve not actually heard of anyone using this service, but it would be interesting to hear anyone’s feedback if you have.

Hat tip to The Motley Fool for pointing this out.
