5 Experts’ Fund Tips

The Independent has asked 5 investment fund experts for their fund tips for the New Year. They were asked to tip a fund from the U.K. and abroad, and varied widely in their selections.
Here are the funds they chose:
UK Funds
- Invesco Perpetual U.K. Aggressive
- Liontrust First Growth
- Artemis Alpha
- M&G U.K. Select
- Rensburgh U.K. Select Growth
Overseas Funds
- Legg Mason Japan Equity
- Legg Mason U.S. Equity
- Morrant Wright Japan Income
- Baillie Gifford Japan
- Artemis European Growth
It’s interesting that none of them picked the same fund. Also, the choice of overseas funds seems to suggest that the experts are expecting Japan to do good things this year. Indeed, the article suggests that after several “false dawns”, Japan should perform well this year, having already managed 4 consecutive years of growth.
