Babies “Cost £1,560″ Before Birth

January 26th, 2006

The BBC reports on a survey by baby-milk maker SMA that suggests that kids cost an average of £1,560 before they’ve even been born.

As someone who has recently been through a child-birth (from a dad’s perspective, of course!), I can vouch for the fact that the large items such as prams and car seats can cost a pretty penny.

Luckily, the cost is reduced if you’ve already had a child, as stuff does tend to get handed down.
