Money Saving March: Add Your Partner For Cheaper Car Insurance

March 5th, 2006 No Comments » | POSTED BY ROB

According to Privilege Insurance, you could save up to £50 on your car insurance by adding your partner to your policy.

This happens because if you’re seen as being in a long-term relationship, chances are that you’re more likely to be a safer driver. They say that it doesn’t matter if you and your partner are married, but you will have to be over the age of 25 and living at the same address.

It’s certainly worth ringing your insurer to see if that is the case – it did work for me and my girlfriend, although we only saved a couple of pounds, not £50.

This tip forms part of the Money Saving March series of posts.
