Finding Cheap Petrol

petrol

I came across this page with suggestions on tips for finding cheap petrol on the ThisIsMoney website, a forum post which was originally started back in 2005.

It’s funny now to see people talking about prices of 90p per litre – if we’d have known how expensive petrol would be now, we’d probably have all started siloing (is that a word?) it in our garages or set off to the Middle East to find our fortunes.

Current top tip for finding cheap petrol is to use www.petrolprices.com, which will tell you the cheapest petrol station in your area – but remember, if you have to go out of your way to find petrol a couple of pence cheaper, then it’s probably not worth it. If you’ve got a cashback credit card, it could be worth paying for your petrol with that to get more money back, as long as you’ll be paying off the balance in full each month.
