So, after what must have taken literally minutes of deliberation, the new name for the company brought about by th merger between Lloyds TSB and Halifax Bank of Scotland has been announced: Lloyds Banking Group.

Sadly, they didn’t opt for my idea of Lloyds TSB Halifax Bank of Scotland Group PLC. Pity.

As usual with such a big name change, the domain squatters are out quicker than the company in question, with both lloydsbankinggroup.com and lloydsbankinggroup.co.uk already taken and showing sponsored listings.
