HI I SENT CHAIN ,BRACLET ,2 RINGS WORTH £250 ESTIMATED ON 21/12/09.RECEIVED A SHOCKING AMOUNT OF £52.23 WITH 30% XMAS BONUS ON THE 4/1/2010.SAME DAY RETURNED CHEQUE RECORDED DELIVERY,SO I COULD TRACK IT.I PHONED THEM ON THE 12/1/10 AND THEY CLAIMED THEY HAD NOT RECIEVED THE CHEQUE,I INFORMED THEM THEY MUST HAD,AS I HAD PROOF IT WAS DELIVERED TO BARNET POST OFFICE FROM PLYMOUTH POST OFFICE ON THE 5/1/10.THEY IMFORMED ME MY GOLD WOULD BE RETURNED WITHIN 48HRS.I WAITED AND STILL NO GOLD,SO I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN ON THE 15/1/10 AND ONCE AGAIN WAS TOLD THE SAME THING.ALLOWED 48HRS AGAIN,AND STILL NOTHING.PHONED ON THE 19/1/10 AND WAS TOLD MY PROBLEM HAD BEEN TAKEN TO MANAGEMENT,AND THEY WILL CONTACT ME WITHIN 48HRS.I HAVE STATED TO THEM IF I DO NOT RECIEVE MY GOLD BACK,I WILL BE TAKING THE MATTER FURTHER.THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADERTISE ON TV AND WEBSITES,AND BE GETTING AWAY WITH SCAMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY AND GOLD.THERE MUST BE SOME ONE ON TV EG.[WATCHDOG] THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN ARE STORIES,AND TO PREVENT THIS HAPPINING TO OTHERS.

I sent my heavy weight 18 carat gold ring (20 Grams, a 22 carat bracelet (over 40 grams)Loose 9 Carat Gold about 4 grams and a silver curb chain. They sent an insulting amount of £158 for everything. Their ad promised the best prices plus a 30% Xmas bonus. A a bit of investigation and I found many others, including my local jewelers, offer far more then they do. This I highlighted and they did not match or better the prices as they claimed.Needless to say, I am still waiting for my items to be returned. They said it would take 10-15 days, why this long I do not know. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THESE PEOPLE. They are manipulative liars, be warned. I will be straight up there to their offices if my items are not back as agreed. I will raise the roof until who ever is in charge gives it back.

it seems we’ve all been done by.i stupidly sent them a 0.5 carat diamond,confusing them with cash4gold,who deal with diamonds.i’m now really worried.sent many emails to them,like others still waiting for my items.how can the bbc allow this company to advertise.one is much more likely to trust the bbc,than a local dealer.what should i do!any advice would be really appreciated.

i sent my gold 2 money 4 gold they sent me a siily amount.i sent it back reg/deliv. it has been 6weeks still no gold back/not sure it will ever be returned. its such a shame people like this operate.i am disabled and hoped this money would help me.

I sent my gold on 28/09/2009 I received a cheque for £26 which I was extremely unhappy about so I sent the cheque back by recorded delivery on 6/10/2009. They have received the cheque and the items apparently should have been returned by now? Enquiries are apparently being made on my behalf to Head Office today. So watch this space. I will update hopefully I will get my gold back. Thank god for supportive forums like these at least I know Im not the only one!!!

I sent gold jewellery to Money4Gold back in September 2009. I received a cheque for the gold on 19/09/09 for £16.01, which I was unhappy with. I sent the cheque back on 19/09/09 with a letter asking to return my gold to my home address, which I provided. Since then I have phoned up chasing my gold and I keep getting the same response. I am told that I will receive a call back, which I don’t.

I called and was told on 03/11/09 that my gold was sent back to me on 06/10/09 and it would take 15 working days. However, no show.

I called and was advised on 04/11/09 that they would send my gold that day special delivery and I would receive my gold on 06/11/09. However, still no show.

I called and was advised on 06/11/2009 that they thought there was a postal strike so they did not send me my gold. They then advised that my gold would be sent recorded delivery on 09/11/09 and I would receive it today (10/11/09). However, still no show.

I called and was advised today (10/11/2009) that my gold will be sent special delivery today and returned to me by 11/11/2009. I asked for this to be confirmed by a manager but everytime I call the manager(s) are in a “meeting” what ever time of the day that I call them.

Please could you help me.

i am discusted with money4gold!!!!! i sent my wedding rings to them in sept, they sent a cheque for a pathetic little amount and so i sent it back requesting my gold to be returned, i sent the cheque back on the 26th sept 09 and they recieved it on the 28th sept 09, i have rung them on many many occastions only to be fobbed off saying my gold was still on hold but they couldnt tell me why or for how long, now when i ring them i get the constant busy tone !!!! they are a rop off and i will be doing all i can to retrieve my gold back !!!!

Gold rallying on India buying is certainly the “fundamental” justification, but gold was acting very bullishly for the last few days….so it seems like someone maybe new what was coming before it came–as they always do.

We have had no end of compaints about Money4Gold. My advice is to only use websites that advertise the price. There are now a large amount of companies that have jumped on the bandwagon as the gold price is high, they are spending fortunes on advertising. As a result people are being paid as little as £0.34 a gram. Compared to our price we are sure you can see this is more than unfair. The bubble will burst for them as trading standards are on the case. watch this space.
