Council Tax To Rise

As if the recent rises in gas prices haven’t hit us hard enough, it looks as if there is also going to be a rise in Council Tax for those of us living in England.
The BBC is reporting that the increase could be as much as 5% in some places, with 70% of local authorities planning to raise council tax by between 3.1% and 5%. With inflation currently running at 1.9%, it looks like some of the rises could easily be double that rate.
