Holiday season is approaching, so we’ll all be trying to work out how much spending money to take with us and how much goods cost in our holiday destination.
I’ve always used the Universal Currency Converter to get an idea of the exchange rate, but personal finance blogger FiveCentNickel has pointed out that Google can be used to get exchange rates too. If you go to the Google homepage and enter a search in the foloowing format:
XXX Currency Unit in Different Currency Unit
For example, this will tell you how many Euros you’ll get for £100. It’s a nice little feature (and just one of many special features that you can perform on Google, by the way), and worth trying out. It’s worth checking out the disclaimer though, as these rates are not guaranteed to be available at your travel agent (Google exchange rates are sourced from Citibank).
