Graduates To Escape Having To Work Until 70

There were rumours over the weekend that some graduates may have to work until the age of 70 before being able to take their state pension – a move which would have no doubt caused more outrage amongst students given the fuss already made about tuition fees and the general levels of debt that graduates end up leaving university with.

It does however appear that these rumours were false, and a committee that is currently looking into long-term pensions options for the UK, led by ex CBI director Adair Turner, has ruled out graduates working until 70 at the moment.

The Guardian carries more information on this story.
