Our lives are now blighted by the need to remember more and more passwords, and to be really secure, you need to make sure those passwords are of a decent complexity.
Whilst this might be annoying, there’s a reason to include a mix of lower and uppercase letters, numbers and “special characters” such as !*#&_.., and that’s the time it takes for a hacker to crack your passwords with their computer, handily explained in this diagram from BookOfJoe.
Thankfully more and more banks are now enforcing more secure passwords, together with other security methods. But if your bank isn’t enforcing a strong password policy, let us know in the comments.
