Scotsman: Insurer Aviva Set To Axe 4000 UK Jobs In Bid To Save £250m

AVIVA, Britain’s biggest insurance group, today said it would axe 4000 jobs across the UK by 2008, with 450 going in Scotland, in a bid to “improve efficiency” by cutting £250 million from costs.
