The cost of stamps is going to rise in April; 2nd class stamps will be going up 1p to 22p, and 1st class stamps will be rise by 2p to 32p.
More rises are also likely by 2010, according to the BBC. I suppose the Royal Mail has to have some way of softening the blow of losing its 350-year monopoly on sending the post.
