New TV Show from Martin Lewis: It Pays To Watch

December 4th, 2007

Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has just announced that his new TV programme, It Pays To Watch, will be starting on Five in the new year.

From 9th January he will presenting a weekly show which he says aims to mirror much of what he does on his website, which is providing information on saving money on products, how to get out of debt etc.

MoneySavingExpert.com is an extremely popular site, and there’s plenty of useful, up-to-date info and tips on there - if this can be replicated in a TV programme, then I think it could be a very good show to watch.

I would like to ask martin a question about mortgage payment .We pay £750 amonth on our mortgage £200 over the monthly price, which adds up to £2400 extra to pay off our mortgage sooner.our monthly payment is £550 a month.would it be better to put the £200 into a saving account a month until the end of the set 5 year term.pay a lump sum at the end of 5 year term.

I find the show very interesting and good advice on every topic.

I checked your site re. cheaper telephone calls and registered for 18866. Regrettably, although the site clearly says telephone calls to India would be 3 p per minute, when I actually dialled, I was told the call would cost 14 p per minute. I tried this 4 times and every time the call to a land line in India was charged at 14 p per minute. You should know this because you are recommending these on your site,”It pays to watch”. They are obviously misleading the public. I would like to bring this to the attention of Martin.

There was an option to write to 18866, so I did. I had one acknowledgement, saying the matter would be sorted out. So far, a fortnight later, I have not heard from them.

I would like to receive a reply.

Thank you.

Christine
