MoneyExpert: Lloyds Launches Budget Jetsetter Card

Two of the biggest names in personal finance have produced the co-branded Lloyds TSB Premier American Express Credit Card.

The card is pitched as an affordable prestige card, offering for its £4.95 monthly fee a range of “lifestyle” extras designed to flatter the user’s sense of importance.

Central among these is the personal lifestyle assistant who will handle requests such as theatre bookings or dinner reservations, available 24/7.

The card will also offer extra reward scheme points for all money spent, equivalent to 1.33 for every £1, or a third higher than the standard Lloyds rewards scheme.

For an additional £8.95 a month card holders will receive a Priority Pass Prestige Membership worth £518, giving access to more than 500 VIP airport lounges.

“We wanted to develop a card to reward card members for all of their spending in a way that they will genuinely value,” said Colin Walsh of Lloyds TSB.

“The Lloyds TSB Premier American Express Credit Card is designed to give Card members a first class concierge service and lifestyle focused rewards.”

The card charges a typical 21.2 per cent however, and will only provide value for money to those regularly using its added extras.
