Those looking for the best current account to suit their financial circumstances could benefit from the launch of a new online bill-paying service from Lloyds TSB.
The facility enables account holders to access and pay household bills online, while also giving the option to store them for their records.
And as part of the service – which Lloyds TSB has suggested brings online banking into “a new era” – customers can receive alerts and reminders via email as to when their bills have arrived.
“A deluge of paper bills can be confusing and off-putting for anyone,” said Anita Hockin, head of internet at the high-street bank.
“This service means that with one log-on, customers can view all of their bills in one place – it couldn’t be easier,” she added.
Lloyds TSB said that the service was introduced as two-thirds of its four million online banking customers wanted the ability to manage all of their bills online.
To ensure its customers receive the highest level of online protection possible, the bank is introducing a number of security measures entitled BankSecure over the following few months.
