A new report on identity theft has shown that those living in the London area are most likely to be its victims.
CIFAS, the UK’s fraud protection service, published a list of the worst 20 postcodes for ID fraud, of which 19 were within the M25, and the other was just outside in Maidenhead.
The worst 20 postcodes were:
- SE16 Greenwich
- CR0 Croydon
- IG11 Barking
- SL6 Maidenhead
- SE13 Lewisham
- E6 Newham
- SW11 Battersea
- E17 Walthamstow
- N14 Southgate
- N4 Stoke Newington/Harringay
- N16 Stoke Newington
- E11 Leyton/Wanstead
- NW2 Cricklewood/Willesden
- BR3 Beckhenham
- HA3 Wealdstone
- SW18 Wandsworth
- E2 Bethnal Green
- NW10 Willesden/Harlesden
- NW3 Hampstead
- N22 Wood Green
