A comparison site has launched this week which aims to help our armed forces veterans. Forcesdeal.com allows you to compare car, van, motorcycle and home insurance, with 70% of their profits going towards the Forcesdeal Foundation.

Remember we mentioned those annoying Switfcover ads featuring rubber-faced seventies rock sellout Iggy Pop, and the fact that Swiftcover didn’t actually insure musicians at the time?

Shock horror, Iggy wasn’t actually insured by Swiftcover after all, despite him declaring that he “got Swiftcovered”.

Quite a funny story has emerged regarding SwiftCover’s recent adverts featuring aging rockstar Iggy Pop.

12 complaints have been made to the Advertising Standards Authority after some musicians found out that SwiftCover wouldn’t insure them, raising doubts as to whether Pop himself would get cover.
