Just yesterday I was writing off-topic about London winning the 2012 Olympics. In just 24 hours, the mood in London, and Britain, has gone from one of celebration to that of shock at such a cowardly act, and thoughts for those that have died.
The performance of the markets in London today followed the feelings of the nation – initial losses were largely recovered in an act of defiance – we will not be intimidated by these mindless acts.
Our thoughts are, naturally, with the families of the bereaved, but we need to send a message to the terrorists that they will not succeed – life will go on and this will not change us – hopefully London will return to some sort of normality tomorrow.
